Rings of Cowardiness

Early evening

I was walking

I do not remember

I was maybe biking

Suddenly rings

were lopped

around my neck

they were pulling

for me to drop

hurt or dead

from parent teaching

or maybe teachers

teaching hate

those Arab kids

wanted to hurt me

but papa

saw this from afar

and run to free me

after the assailants run

like times before slither

into someones house

and got protection
